Fitting with 3M Ultra-Bond High-Tack Adhesive Pads
The cleanest method for modern 3D and 4D acrylic laser plates. No drilling required, completely weather-proof, resistant to jet washes up to 140 bar.
Remove Old Plates & Residue
Unscrew or gently pry off your existing plates using dental floss or a plastic pry tool. Use isopropyl alcohol or sticky-stuff remover to eliminate all old glue and road grime.
Surface Temperature Check
Ensure the vehicle bumper and ambient temperature is at least 15°C (60°F). If fitting in winter, gently warm the bumper and plate back with a domestic hairdryer.
Apply 3M Pads Vertically
Place 5 to 6 heavy-duty 3M foam pads vertically across the rear of each plate (spacing ~8cm apart). Vertical placement allows rainwater and wash water to drain freely.
Align & Apply Heavy Pressure
Align plate centrally with bumper contours. Press firmly across all sections with the palm of your hand for at least 60 seconds. Full cure bond takes 24 hours.
